We are now in the fourth year of our 7 year Juniors plan and bringing in Josh Hodder
as an external Level 2 coach has worked well. The All Stars is thriving under the
enthusiasm of Pete Knight and Mark Sinclair who will continue in 2022 and the
Dynamos sees Emily Bogg joining Owen Riley (between exams) and Mark Banham
to deliver the Thursday sessions. I am also hoping to run U11 nets with hard ball.
There is already a lot of interest from returning and new parents.
There are now a small number of Dynamos who have graduated out of the age
group and will be introduced to hardball in the nets however we still do not have a
formal team structure at any level without which they will move elsewhere and be
lost to us. I have pointed out for 4 years now that unless we have volunteers to
spend an evening a week running some of these activities we will lose all the benefit
of the pyramid that is the All-Stars/Dynamos. There must be someone who has the
time and interest to take this on? Having attracted these young cricketers it is
incumbent every one of us all to make them all feel part of this club and again I ask
all of you to take an interest in their progress. They are our future.
